Sewing and reading

I had a book in transit from a branch to my branch library, so I didn't want to do errands til it arrived, I didn't want to make two trips. I didn't get the text til after 4 pm, so we decided to wait til today. We'll go to the diner for breakfast, to the post office to mail Manda a table runner, and to the library.

So I  caught up on the late night shows and turned all of the burp diapers right side out and pinned them so they don't shift while sewing. There's about 30 of them, and it took all afternoon to do. So I can start the top stitching, maybe this afternoon. Jimmy Kimmel was almost in tears the day after the election's show.

This was a strange one, the first of another trilogy. I had to check when she wrote it- maybe 2016- because it's about a global pandemic called Doom. Almost half the world's population dies, and many of the survivors develop supernatural powers- witches, fae, and some really evil ones. Add the evil ones to people afraid of the supernaturals, and it's a bad mix. I wasn't sure I'd like it or finish it, but it sucked me in, and I'm ready to start the second book.

I'm still in a rage over the election, and don't see that changing. The convict is already breaking laws, some that he signed! And the Republican "leadership" doesn't have a spine among them.
