Progress!

Manda and family had a good-ish ending to their travels, the airline got them on a morning flight home. Ben's parents were to fly out Friday night, and the plane had mechanical issues. No nearby hotels, so they spent the night at the airport! Flew home Saturday night, spent a lot of time laying over in Phoenix, light 8 hours!

We went
to Lamp Post one night! Jersey Shore salad with chicken for me, greek yogurt with fruit for Ralph.

Ralph got the shelves in the closet in the new quilting room!

And I'm working on unloading totes on to them!

Heather came up and helped Ralph move the furniture to the right rooms. We set up and made the bed in the new guest room! Ralph is thrilled to have his bike back!

And the cross stitch is moving right along!

Weekend update!

Another week passed! This week I had routine checkups with the cardiologist and the eye doc. Both went well, no changes with either. I had PT Monday, and was scheduled for it Thursday. Right as I was putting on my shoes, it started pouring cats and dogs! It was raining so hard that I was afraid of slipping, so I called and rescheduled for Monday.

We went to Applebee's for lunch one day, and I got their monthly drink special for $5- a Bahama Mama. I think they say the booze name as they pass it over the drink- I'm a lightweight drinker, and I didn't even get a buzz. But it sure tasted good!

Moving right along! It progresses faster when you actually work on it!

It was a week of memories. On April 5 it was 15 years since my dad died suddenly, and April 7 would have been his 98th birthday. I miss him every day. Mom also, but she was 87 when she died, and it wasn't as much of a shock.

It doesn't look like the same room! Ralph has straightened out the closet door, and his next project is replacing the heat duct covers, and the windows need washing. We can take our time putting the rooms back together.

Manda, Ben and the kids have had a wonderful week in Hawaii with his family. As they were leaving Hawaii, they found that their connecting flight from LAX to SeaTac had been cancelled. After spending most of the night at LAX, they just found out that they've been rebooked- for Monday morning! She's beside herself, of course. Ben is talking to the airport people as we speak. To be continued.
