Breakfast

We went to breakfast at our favorite diner!

So good! And we brought home a ton of food! Ralph had the greek yogurt with fruit, served on a huge platter! And I had scrambled eggs, pork roll, potatoes, toast, oj, and tea. From there we went to the library to switch out books. Now we're in for the rest of this rainy day!

More sewing

Another morning of sewing! Zig Zag #3 is now done!

Heather picked out the charm pack and backing from my stash,  spring and summer!

XS update, 23% done!

Steph and Dan are coffee people, so I sent her this pic for approval for her table runner. The line hasn't been released yet.

Morning sewing

I don't like the new flatter keyboards. I just don't type as well on it. I guess I was used to a regular keyboard.

I put together zig zag #3, from a charm pack Heather picked out from my stash of them.

For Christmas, Steph gave me, from my wish list, a box of straight pins. One set has directional arrows on them, the other has numbers. I love them, it keeps the squares in the order I want them.

A rainy day

A rainy day is better than  snowy day! Our cookie swap friends Gordanna and Mary Anne are getting married tonight! We sent our regrets for several reasons, one being that we'd have to stay overnight at a hotel.

Ralph is at a photo shoot, one of his hobbies. I totally don't get his fascination with taking pix of models, but it's his deal.

Zig Zag tablerunner #2 is done! We'll mail it to Manda on Monday. It has the same shamrock backing as #1. I enjoyed making it.

Another table runner started!

First off, I know how to spell meclizine,  but the computer doesn't.

Yesterday, cleaning lady Lisa was here, so to stay out of her way, I spent some time in the sewing room!

I had already played with the layout, so I sewed the squares together. It's the zig zag tablerunner pattern from Missouri Quilts. I put the pic up on our family chat group, and Manda loved it, so I offered it to her. She decided on the shamrock backing like the first one, so I'll put it together and get it off to her. She said it looks so cheerful and springy.

When Lisa was done, we went to Walgreens to pick up the meclizine, which cost a whole $1.14. Then to the library to swap books, and a stop at Blair Mountain Biscuit Company for lunch. Then a nap, of course. Then cross stitch!

Wednesday again!

Strange week. Saturday night I had an episode of vertigo, the second ever. I went to bed to sleep it off. I felt ok on Sunday, but Monday I felt foggy and nausea. I saw my NP Monday night, who said it was most likely residual effects from the episode, and they can just happen. She prescribed meclizan (antivert) but said to only take it if I get dizzy. Tuesday morning I felt much better. I hate that foggy feeling, as if I'd taken an antihistimine.

Work in Progress! It's 22% done! Yesterday I worked on a lot of confetti, so it was slow going.

Manda and Ben took the kids skiing in Bend, OR, for the Prez Day break. They loved playing in the snow!

The end of the week

I had a birthday! I'm now 71 years of fabulous! Goodness, that sounds so old!

I got the tablerunner assembled and quilted! It was for Heather, and she was here last night. She loved it! The backing has shamrocks on it.

They  spent the long stupor bowl weekend skiing/snowboarding in W VA! The added two of Jules friends and Eddie's girlfriend and traded a timeshare week, so had a unit that slept 8.

Winter's Welcome is about 20% done!

I saw this giant Sorry game on Amazon, and had to send it to Garrett and Amary. They will get it on Monday.

Sunday again!

The days seem to fly by! Is it because I'm getting old?

I put this together yesterday, from 5 inch squares. It was a pack of Valentine's Day fabric squares. I needed the diagram to figure it out. It's a video from Missouri Quilts, called Zig Zag table runner. This one will be for Heather, when it's done.

This was yesterday morning, I did more on it last night. I'm 18% done.

Today is Sunday, so lunch with Frank and Charlotte. Today is Longhorn Steakhouse. And tonight is the Stupor Bowl, so we're stopping for a hoagie for Ralph as he "watches" it.

Wednesday again!

I like Wednesdays. It's midweek, and a lot of people post their works in progress on Facebook. Some quilt shops do a video on Wednesdays.

Today started with an alert from my bank. Yep, debit card, which hasn't been used in quite a while, was hacked. So wind my way thru the automated system to get a real person, who cancelled the card and will send a new one. What a nuisance, and I'm thankful for the alerts.

Today's plan is to go get my oil changed, then stop at the library to pick up books I'd requested.

I moved the q snap to work on the right side of the XS project. I'm 15% in!

January stats, 12 books read, 11 on the kindle. No crocheting done, other than the first couple rounds of a baby afghan, just to get it started.

Basement steps done!

3 boxes of old sci fi books that Manda doesn't want, given away via the Pine Hill Chat group on Facebook! And Heather wants Sam's mom's Lane cedar chest that's been in the basement.

And now, off to get the oil changed.

Sunny Sunday

It's so nice out! Blue skies, temp in the 40's, and no snow! And I saved us money by not going out to breakfast! I made scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and orange juice. So good!

Last night we got pizza from our favorite local pizza parlour, which we haven't done in months. A small gives us  dinner and a few slices left over.

Weekend update! It's looking so good!
