Record Temperatures!

The hottest July on record! Too hot! Looks like it might be a little cooler next week, only in the 80's.

Kokomo is done as of yesterday! I love how it gives the impression of sand and water and movement. Kokomo is #8 full sized afghan for this year.

Picture for color inspiration, I love the color combo. The afghan is just a big granny square.

Not much going on here in our little corner of south jersey.

Hot July

It's been so hot all month! So many days in the 90's!

I'm calling this afghan Kokomo, because it's beachy!

It's a full sized version of this baby afghan. It's working up pretty fast.

We had a nice time at Kenzie's 16th birthday party, but it was so hot!

Dahlia is done!

Dahlia is my #7 full sized afghan of the year! The designer is Lucy from Attic 24 blog, and she names the patterns.

Dahlia is a little over 6 feet long, and 70 strips. I used a G hook, and I have to drop down to an F or E, because the pattern calls for 99 strips.

We went to Blair Mountain Biscuit Company for breakfast on Friday. I had the berry french toast with bacon, and Ralph had a biscuit sandwich with egg and sausage.

Today we are going to a surprise 16th birthday party for great niece Kenzie.

It's July

We had a nice visit on Monday with Heather, Ed, Ed's parents, and the kids.

Dahlia is close to being done. It's 65 inches long, and I like to make afghans over 72 inches long. Go big or go home!

I'm getting itchy to be done it, and I've started pulling yarn for the next afghans. Dahlia is #7 full sized afghan this year!

I love doing the afghans from Attic 24's blog, her colors are so beautiful, and the directions well thought out.

With the holiday this week, it gets confusing what day it is! Today is my little brother John's birthday, and tomorrow is my baby Steph's birthday.
