Yesterday I got nothing done and it took all day to do!

Grandson Eddie got #1 in his class! He's been racing since he was about 6. He's going to nursing school, and wants to be an ER nurse like Grandpop. Such a great kid.
I snagged this meme to save for comparison. I'm still in a state of rage and despair and don't expect it to go away any time soon. That old saying about being doomed to repeat history if it's not learned from is sure true.
Today is Veterans Day. Ralph served in Vietnam in the SeaBees. I love that the Vietnam Vets are finally acknowledged. Today he'll get a voucher for a meal at Texas Roadhouse, and probably have lunch at Applebees. We're just not inclined to run all over creation getting all the available offers. My dad would have! He'd have left the house at zero dark thirty, ate his way thru south jersey, and come home with tons of leftovers. Sadly, he passed in 2007 before the acknowledgement meals were a thing.
