An awful anniversary

Yesterday was the second anniversary of the worst thing that ever happened in our family.

It's still hard to believe that Joseph is gone forever. We met at the cemetery yesterday, Mike, Donna, Michael, Samantha, Jacob, Terri, and Ralph and I. I told them who the others in the plot were, and how they were related. We told funny stories about Joe, then we hugged and left.

Yesterday was also Manda and Ben's anniversary! 11 years already! In those 11 years they've lived in Texas and Washington, bought a house, and had two children! Busy, busy!

Wednesday was a sad day. My cousin Denise died in her sleep- she was only 60! What a shocker that was to hear! So Mike and I will probably be going to a funeral this week.

We only have two left of the "older" generation, Aunt Lena and Aunt Diane. Of this generation, the cousins, we've already lost Billy, who was Denise's younger brother. He died a long time ago in a car accident. And now Denise. "Holy Shit" was the reaction when I called my brother, and it's sure appropriate.

Treasure every day, you never know when it will be your last one.

Summer Solstice

 The official start of summer!

Best ever graduation photo!

I can't believe he's graduated already! Where did that time go?

Julianna has her graduation from grade 8 today! Headed to high school!

And this year's recitals are in the rearview mirror! Such a busy month at Heather and Ed's!

We did a library run last week. Today they return to full hours, yay!

Chatting with a friend yesterday, and I was trying to find a word to describe those who haven't gotten the vaccine. They are not afraid of it, they just want to be contrary. The best we could come up with is that they are being dicks. Sadly, we have a few in our family. Maybe not sadly, maddening is a better word.

I was planning on getting my hair cut this morning, but the app is not showing a check in, and the phone is not being answered. What a pain.

Mid June already!

Time moves on, whether we like it or not!

This girl turned 40! She and Steph did a sisters get away for two days, and they had a great time.

Two of my favorite people!

Snakes are up to date, and almost halfway done! Ralph's hair is also almost halfway done!

I'm loving Apache Tears so much!

This is for sale on Bonnie Hunter's site, and I really like it. I think quilting is going to be my fall project.

We just got back from grocery shopping, the first we've been to Shop Rite in close to a month! We did a Sam's Club run in between.

Hot hot hot

Hot as in 90's! The AC has been on for days.

Today Manda is 40! She and Steph are spending a few days at a hotel, getting spa treatments.

I love this calendar so much! Heather got pix from her sisters, and had one made for each of us.

LOL, I stole this from Facebook. Words to live by!

This girl got her first Covid shot!

Ralph surprised me with this cute mug!

Apache Tears is coming along nicely. Since it's mostly single crochet, it's going to be really heavy! There are 19 colors in it. I really like it.

We had the deck and porch power washed, and it looks so nice!
