Hot weekend

It was in the 90's all weekend, so the AC went on! Then yesterday the high was only in the 70's, so the AC went off and the windows opened. And the green pollen is still coating everything.

Another page finish, and time to move the q snap frame! I love how the blue striped afghan just pops. I'm almost 2 years into this piece, tho I have taken a couple breaks totaling maybe 3-4 months.

Heather and Ed got an inflatable hot tub, to see if they'd like and use one before putting out the cash for a big one. When Heather sent me this picture, I commented that they now need 3 more, since this one is now Julie's.

Sewing machine and ironing board are now set up! Work table is ready to rock and roll!

This is a lunch week! Tomorrow is lunch with the teachers, and Friday is lunch at Cracker Barrel with our friends John and Barbara!

Friday is also our 50th Anniversary! How can 50 years go by in the blink of an eye? We're having a family celebration in July when the girls and families are home, celebrating our 50th, Heather and Ed's 20, and all the summer birthdays- Steph, Dan, Amary, Garrett, Ben, and all the others. Low key, the way I like it. We're having it catered, and Heather is in charge of finding a caterer, since it's her family that are vegan/vegetarian.

Mid May already!

For our growing zone,  May 15 is our safe date for no more freezes. Ralph planted more cannas for me, a lilac, and potatoes for him in grow bags.

I had a page finish! I'm almost 1/2 done!

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn! One of our favorite meals!

The new sewing room, AKA Steph's old room, AKA the guest room. Such a change, and I love it! It's 97% done, just have to place a few things that are on the work table, and bring the sewing
machine back in. It's so nice and bright, with 3 windows.

It's May!

April kind of flew by! Between going to PT twice a week, and reorganizing the house every day, the time zipped by.

We went to a shoe store and had our feet measured. Now I know that my feet are a 9WW.

We've decluttered so much! We've taken 2 carloads to St Vincent dePaul, a carload to electronics recycling, a carload of baby things to Unforgotten Haven, our cleaner took a carload, and Heather took a carload. That's 6 carloads! And I'm not done!

We went to the spring dance show at Julianna's school. There were 30 dances, and she was in 9 of them! We really enjoyed the show. We've been going to her dance shows since she was 4!

I just renewed my inactive RN license. I don't know how many more times I'll renew it, because I sure don't intend to work again, but it was such an important part of my life that I'm not ready to give it up altogether.
