More hot!

 We've had two rainy nights, which has not helped with the heat.

Work in Progress! 87% done!

Yesterday was a terrible anniversary, one of the two worst days my family ever had. My nephew Joseph died of an accidental overdose t years ago yesterday. His death had a huge impact on all of us, a lasting impact. He was cremated and laid to rest with his grandmother. The other stone is my maternal great grandmother. We all gathered in the cemetary to honor our family members.

I read this book from the library this week. Excellent, as all of hers.

A snowman!

 Work in Progress for this hot, hot week!

I'm working on an area of snow and a snowman! It's not making me feel any cooler, though.

I've been on the phone taking care of business. To the online pharmacy to renew a RX that can't be auto renewed. To Sirius, because my renewal is coming up and no way will I pay $23 a month. I got a promo price of $7 a month for a year, which is more my speed. I don't spend that much time in the car, and I only listen to music- I don't want anyone talking at me, and I sure don't want anything to do with sports. 

It's been in the 90's all week! And no relief anytime soon. 

Ralph is at the diner for his weekly breakfast with the Veterans. He'll bring me home breakfast, then I'm considering going to the Amish Market.

Weekend Update

 I finished the  section I was working on!

 Which meant that it was time to move the qsnap! 

 81% finished! I'm so happy with it!

Quiet week

 It was so wonderful to have Steph and Dan here for a few days, and it went by too quickly. Friday night most of the family gathered at Heather's to visit, eat, and see Steph and Dan. It was a wonderful evening, and the old folks were all there til after 11! We missed Manda and Ben and their kids, though. And we all forgot to take pictures, we were just enjoying being together.

A visit!

 Steph and Dan got to NJ from Oregon last night, late. We'll see them in about an hour, first we've seen them since November! Dan is installing a new computer at his parents, and Steph will visit with us and Heather while he does that. Tomorrow night the family is getting together at Heather's to visit and see them. 

 Our newest granddog, Huckleberry, got a grooming! She's maybe 15 weeks old now!

Work in Progress hit 75%! Yikes!

 

We did a thing! Our fridge was only about a year old, but we disliked it. It was a top freezer, and the way it was set up, we were always bumping our heads when we tried to look at the bottom shelf. So Ralph checked Consumer's, and we talked to Heather and friends, and got a french door fridge. White would have cost $500 more, so we got the stainless. It came yesterday, and we like it a lot so far.

We went to the diner for brunch!
