Work in Progress

 It's Thursday! I posted my WIP on Facebook yesterday, but didn't get back on here.

 The area to the right of the tree, up in front of the bushes, is making me crazy. So much confetti, and all light colors on light aida, so it's not the easiest to see. It will be worth it, and when I can't take it, I switch to the left of the tree.

52 years!!

 Yesterday was our anniversary. 52 years! Yikes!

 My cousin Linda was my flower girl. She did a facebook post yesterday about how excited she was to be in a wedding, how much she loved her dress, and how I had the band and guests sing Happy Birthday to her and my cousin Billy. It brought back such nice memories. 

Doris, my matron of honor, died several years ago. Linda G and Carol are doing well. And cousin Linda is a lovely woman but will always be my flower girl to me.

It was a rainy day yesterday, and so much was closed for the holiday, as it should be. I had brought home plenty of leftovers from Longhorn Steakhouse, so we share them for dinner. 

At this time of life we have more yesterdays than tomorrows, and we try to enjoy every day together.

I hate tech.

 Hate, hate, hate.  I hate two factor ID on anything not involving money. Do I really need to get a code to look at my pix on the phone? 

I got a new phone, and now my pix had to all be backed up to the new phone before I can access them. Some days the world is just annoying.

 We stopped at Rita's for the first time this year! I got the misto shake, which is water ice blended with soft serve. This is orange, and it tasted like they just squeezed the oranges, so good.

The warm weather is back, mid 80's this week.

Rainy Wednesday

 The high temps only lasted a few days, then dropped back into the 50's and 60's. Today is dark and rainy.

 Our gorgeous Julianna had her prom! The kids are much smarter than my generation, they go in groups rather than pairs a lot of the time. 

Weber"s Drive In is open for the summer! So good!

 

Work in Progress Wednesday! 63% done!

Our monthly house cleaner is here, yay! And today is lunch with the nurses, just one nurse today. 

Heather was here on Monday and brought us a butterfly bush for Mother's Day. She knows I don't care much for the holiday, which Hallmark has ruined, so she comes whenever. It's always wonderful to see her.

A hot day

It's going to be 88 today! Then in the low 70's the rest of the week.

 My grandson finished his finals for this semester! No college til September, yay! Now to find a job.

I moved the q snap again! 60% done!

Huckleberry

 We have a new granddog!

Meet Huckleberry. Ten weeks old, ten pounds of springer spaniel.

 And she arrived with a snood to keep her ears out of her food! Too bad she lives 3000 miles from us!
