Rainy week

 It's rained every day, with some thunderstorms. And Monday was the 4th anniversary of one of the two worst things to ever happen in our family, the death of our nephew Joseph.

In happier news, I started a new afghan called Dahlia.

It's from the Attic 24 blog, and uses 15 colors. It's a British blog, so I matched the colors as best I could.

Steph said it looks like a sunset!

I'm 30 strips, or 60 rows, into it.

Saturday

 Another weekend!

Amary's 4th grade class had to dress up as a historical person, and the others guess who they were. Of course Manda got busy and turned her into a Queen! Manda bought the hat but made the dress.

Ha! Work in progress was not behaving, so it got pulled out twice, and is now in time out. It was supposed to be a virus stitch afghan.

We ordered out food to go, and by the time it was ready, it was teeming out!

Quick baby afghan

 I made this because I love the look of it.

Julie looked at it and said it would be perfect for Eddie when he has a baby, because he loves the beach. So I'm going to have Heather store it! And I'm figuring out the math to make an adult sized one to match. It was super easy and fast.

I spent the afternoon with Heather and Julie. We went to lunch at Cinder Bar, then Julie wanted to check out Crumbl cookies. We each got cookies. I hadn't eaten any when Heather called to say the pink iced tasted like almonds, which I'm allergic to. Who expects almonds in a sugar cookie? I put it in the freezer for them.

The other day I got a strawberry poppyseed salad from Panera Bread. It was really good!

Yikes! A section of I-95 in northeast Philly collapsed after a truck caught fire underneath. It's scary! I've been on that section of road many times.

another weekend

 Time really does fly! We are having really nice weather, mostly in the 70's and not bad humidity.

Springfrost is done! It's a little over 6 feet long.

I'm getting yarn together to make Dahlia. I had to order some colors. In the meantime, I'm doing a baby blanket.

How cool is this? I have no plans to make it.

I ordered two of these for Heather's pool.

The girls came in for breakfast, but they don't like the waitress to talk with them.

Weekend update

 I realized that I hate my apple keyboard. The keys are almost flat, and I can't type as fast or as well as I can on a traditional keyboard.

Springfrost as of yesterday. It's about halfway done.

Our freezer alarm kept going off, the freezer was too warm. So we bought a new fridge and it came Friday. It's got better handles- on our old one, Ralph had to replace the handles a few times. This one has less shelves in the door, and no drawer near the top. So we have to get used to it. 

Friday it was 91 and humid! I didn't turn on the AC because we knew it was only for one day, now it's back to 70's.

It's June!

 We're having beautiful weather- 70's during the day, 50's at night.

This was Springfrost over the weekend, it's about 10 rows further done now.
