What day is it?

One of the nice things about retirement is that you can lose track of the days. I know when it's Thursday, because Ralph goes to breakfast with the Veterans. Somehow he and I both tend to lose Friday, and think it's Saturday.

Coasters are turned right side out, and this Longaberger basket is the perfect size and shape for them!

Goal for today- play with tension on the HQ.

Sunny Week

It's been so nice out! Today it's predicted to be 80! And the pollen is starting early, the cars are all yellow!

I had some charm packs, so I made more coasters- this is before I turned them right side out. The second row left is from coffee fabric, so it's for Steph. I'll let Heather choose a set.

All loaded up! Now if I can just get the tension right, I can actually quilt it!

The country continues to go to Hell in a Handbasket, courtesy of the fecking president and the spineless Republican party. They are all disgusting.

Windy Day

It's mid April already! It's been a windy, rainy month so far.

This little nugget is 2 months old already! So adorable, and has her daddy's face!

Backing loaded on the HQ! And I remembered to do it face down, just took the pic before I loaded it.

Not much going on

It's been a cold and quiet week. Monday was the foot doc, Tuesday was cardiology, Wednesday was food shopping.

This girl committed to Stockton University! She has a nice scholarship, and it's close to home. It actually butts up against the Atlanticare Hospital parking area, where Heather works. She plans to major in Education. So now Tori and Nadia are graduates of Stockton, Eddie is a junior there, and Jul will be a freshman.

I got the tension set on the HQ, and sewed a bit on a practice piece. Pressed a smallish quilt that I'm not crazy about, picked out backing for it, and stalled in ambition.

Last Saturday was the 18th anniversary of my Dad's death, and Monday was his 101st birthday. Jul was born 3 weeks early, so Dad got to meet her a few times, which we're grateful for. He would get such a kick out of Joey, Amary, Garrett, and now Mary Jade Boone. He never got to meet Dan, Samantha or Molly, which makes me sad.

But it's a nice sunny day, and the sky is blue.

Hello April

 April is starting with showers!

I love this calendar so much! Heather did a great job! She made one for us and one for each of her sisters and herself. What a great gift!

A bad pic of a stemmed glass in the criss cross coaster.

Baby Boone is the picture of her daddy in the top picture! And going by the caption in the bottom pic, she's a rabble rouser like her late Uncle Joseph!

I've been watching Handiquilter videos to refresh my memory.
