August is moving right along!
I'm so happy with how Woodland is coming along. I dropped to an F hook, because the G was making things so big that I couldn't do all the rows without the project being way too long.
Oh my goodness, look who's driving! Jules has one more session with the driving school, then she can drive with a licensed driver. She has the date for her test set, the day after her 17th birthday. I was surprised at how young some states let kids drive, it's always been 17 here. And it used to be that you couldn't get a permit til your 17th birthday. Now if you go to driving school when you are 16, you have that whole year to practice with a licensed driver.
Heather was here yesterday, and brought us tomatoes from her garden, nice, ripe, ruby red tomatoes. Of course we had bacon and tomato sandwiches for lunch! Nothing better than a jersey tomato, it tastes like summer!
She also brought two monster zucchinis. I shared one with my neighbor, since I still have shredded zucchini in the freezer. I just found a recipe for chocolate zucchini cake, and I plan to make cupcakes from the recipe tomorrow. We had a nice visit with her, and she trimmed Ralph's hair. He's growing it out to donate again, and just needed the sides trimmed, and the hairdresser gets carried away. Heather has been cutting Ed and Eddie's hair for years, and does a really good job.
